Political Accountability

We had 3 main commitments:

If elected to acknowledge the severity of gentrification and use their powers as councillors to force affordable housing.
Reject developments which fail to satisfy 50% affordable housing (as per the Lewisham local plan adopted in July 2025).
Work with the Lewisham People's Assembly and other housing organisations to achieve a 'New Vision for Development' based around democratic decision-making, community-owned and sustainable development practises.
